NextGen Happy Hour Event
ASIS Young Professionals is back as NextGen!
NextGen hosted thier first Austin Chapter happy hour at Hula Hut on June 5th. The turnout was great and the event was a huge success. The Palapa was filled with energy, laughter and tons of great conversation!

Austin 179 Chapter hosted the 8th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon at Maggiano's Little Italy in the Domain on May 23rd.
Congratulations to Law Enforcement Officer of the Year, Detective Mary Eaton ofManor Police Department. Detective Eaton's involvement with development of the department's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) program has led to several undercover operations and the arrests of suspected child predators for offenses to include possession and promotion of child pornography and online solicitation of a minor. In the early morning hours of December 14th 2023, Manor Officers responded to a possible homicide in the Wal-Mart parking lot, and was integral in identifying, and later interviewing and interrogating the suspect who she later arrested, all within a 24 hours period. Keynote Speaker Chief Robin Henderson of Austin Police Department touched on topics from attrition and staffing to the importance of continued focus on the mental healthof our community and our emergency responders.
A big thank you to ASIS Austin Chapter Board for organizing the event and thank you to all of the sponsors and attendees for making the event possible. The chapter donated proceeds to Austin Cops for Charities. We look forward to hosting next year's LEAL event on May 21st, 2025!
