Jessica Yamron

With over 17 years of experience in the security industry, Jessica Yamron has spent her career with Security Integrators in Project Management and Sales, Distribution, and Representing Manufacturers both directly and indirectly.  Jessica joined ASIS Austin in 2017 and has since become involved with ASIS Austin’s social media presence, event planning, and increasing Chapter involvement as Chair.  Jessica adds an infectious enthusiasm centered around improving processes, overcoming obstacles, and providing solutions for customers. 

Vice Chair

Matthew Johnson

With over 18 years of experience in the Physical Security profession, Matthew Johnson joined ASIS in 2008. Currently Matthew is an Associate Manager of Regional Security with Progressive Insurance, overseeing physical security responsibilities throughout a Western region. Current significant responsibilities include conducting security risk assessment processes for potential threatening situations and incidents, investigating threats and code of conduct violation incidents, conducting Security Assessments. Matthew is a certified Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) Instructor and a veteran of the United States Army Military Police Corp.  


Mike Shannon

​Mike Shannon has over 15 years of experience in the physical security as well as network and information technology fields. Currently Mike is the Regional Sales Manager for Avigilon supporting the Central Texas Area, which includes Temple, Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Laredo & the Rio Grande Valley. Mike is primarily responsible for establishing new opportunities, and partnering with his end user and integration customers to deliver cutting edge comprehensive security solutions to fit unique needs of each client. Mike's background in technology ranges in areas of physical infrastructure, virtualization, network and computing and storage as well as data integration and physical security.


Lisa Gutierrez

With a strong knowledge in Electronic Security, Lisa has been responsible for multi-million dollar budgets. She has experience in all aspects of Electronic Security. Lisa has lead teams from ten to eighty. Lisa is consistently taking on new challenges to learn as the industry changes. Lisa is passionate about electronic security and ensuring her clients and their employees are kept secure. Lisa joined Diebold in 2014 as a Senior National Account Manager. Recently Lisa has started the Women in Security group with the Austin chapter of ASIS. The mission of Women in Security is to provide support and assistance to women in the security field, as well as inspire those interested in entering the profession.
