ASIS Austin Chapter Chatter Vol. 1 Issue 3 Print

A MESSAGE FROM OUR BOARD

ASIS Austin Chapter,

Since the beginning of this pandemic, our local Board decided that 2020 membership dues were valid throughout 2021, as a benefit to our members. Local Chapter Membership are not mandatory; however, they greatly benefit educational opportunities and chapter events. Our chapter would like to reinitiate a goal of providing future scholarships as well, which was impacted by global events since early 2020 and can only be achieved through chapter dues and sponsors.

As we look forward to return to in-person meetings, networking events, and special programs like our Law Enforcement Appreciation Event in 2022.  Even through these unprecedented times, we have seen an increase in local membership.  Thank YOU for being the best part of the ASIS Austin Chapter! Moving into 2022, the ASIS Austin Chapter is offering new membership levels for local Chapter Dues.  Annual Membership dues will remain at $50 and Web Sponsorships at $100.  We are also introducing discounted rates of $25 for Students and Young Professionals.  As always, dues are waived for members of our local Law Enforcement Community.  Please find details on our Membership page. If you have not yet joined us as a member, now is the BEST time.  You can join now as a member to receive discounts on in-person events, prizes at meetings, and all the benefits our members value.  If you join as a member today, you can enjoy 15 months of membership for the cost of 12!  Your membership will be valid through the end of 2022.

Members can now also renew their memberships at the current annual Member or Web Sponsor rates from the Member Dues Page.

Please let us know if you have questions on membership or signing in. 2022 is sure to be our best year yet and we look forward to having you being a big part of it!

Best,

Ken Roe, Austin 179 Membership Chair

OCTOBER CHAPTER MEETING, AUSTIN FC

We are excited to announce our next Chapter Meeting and second in-person event of 2021!   October's meeting will be held at Austin's latest crown jewel of sporting venues and home to our only professional sports team Austin FC.  This month's meeting will be hosted at Q2 Stadium in their Beer Hall.  Lunch will be served along with refreshments.  We will be joined this month by Austin FC's VP of Stadium Operations, Jordan Enke.  Some of you may remember Jordan gave us a preview of the stadium as it was being constructed at one of our chapter meetings back in 2019.  This month's meeting will include a site tour of the stadium and a discussion of stadium operations and key details surrounding it.  We are excited to share this opportunity with our Chapter and those non-members that have been involved with ASIS in the past.  We hope to see you there!

Also, if you would like to be a corporate sponsor at this event, we do have a limited amount of sponsorship opportunities.  Sponsors will receive a registration for the event, special recognition the day of the event, and additional recognition via social media through ASIS 179 channels.

recognition via social media through ASIS 179 channels.

*Cut-off date for registrations is 10/8 so that we can get an accurate headcount for lunch. There are no refunds for this event but if you register and are unable to attend, you may send a proxy in your place.
